Studio Policies
Refund Policy:
All purchases are final. No studio credit or refunds will be issued unless a waitlisted individual is able to take your spot. In such a case, a full refund will be provided, less a $15 administration/service fee.
Class Changes:
Depending on availability, students may switch to another time/day of the same session during the first 3 weeks.
Absences:
Due to the small class sizes, we are unable to offer make-up lessons for any absences during the session.
Make-up Class:
We do not provide make-up classes or studio credit for students who miss class.
Inclement Weather Policy:
The studio may cancel classes at any time due to inclement weather or hazardous travel conditions. We will notify students via email as early as possible if a cancellation is likely or confirmed. We aim to announce any cancellations at least 2 hours before the scheduled start time. If the studio cancels a class, credits will be returned to the student's account for future use. If classes proceed but a student opts not to attend, they should inform the studio management team.
Respectful & Safe Space Policy:
RISE Aerial embraces students from diverse backgrounds, abilities, and interests. We are committed to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for everyone, regardless of size, age, race, or sexual orientation. Our studio is dedicated to fostering positivity and inclusivity for students, instructors, and guests alike. If you encounter any incident that does not align with our values, please contact us at hello@riseaerial.ca or speak to one of our instructors directly. We will address the situation promptly and strive for a fair resolution. Please note that we reserve the right to deny entry or access to our facility if a client fails to adhere to our policies after receiving a warning.
Low Registration Policy:
All classes require a minimum of 3 students to proceed. If a class does not meet this minimum, it will be canceled and a refund will be issued.
Parties and Events:
A minimum of 24 hours notice is required for any changes or cancellations of parties or events. If changes or cancellations are made with more than 24 hours notice, non-refundable deposits will be kept on file for 12 months from the purchase date. Cancellations or changes made with less than 24 hours notice will result in the forfeiture of the deposit, and the full fee may be charged.
FACILITY POLICIES:
At our physical location, the following applies:
At no point before or after class will students be allowed on the equipment.
Spectators and their children will NOT be allowed to use any of the equipment at any time!
PROPER ATTIRE:
Please ensure that your clothing is form-fitting and does not restrict movement. Only socks or bare feet are permitted within the studio space. We recommend a bodysuit and leggings. No jewelry of any kind during practice!
Coaching:
You will encounter hands-on adjustments and spotting during classes. This is for your safety and those around you. All of our instructors have been trained on proper technique and safety and are insured to teach in our studio. In order to support a safe training environment, students are not permitted to teach each other moves during class or practice times.
BODY PREPARATION:
Please maintain a high standard of hygiene as our facility is very hands-on, and equipment will be shared. Please do not use any lotions, perfumes, or oils.
Open Gym etiquette:
Warm-Up and Cool Down: Please ensure you properly warm up before your session. This prepares your body for the movements and helps prevent injury.
Stick to Instructor-Taught Moves: Only practice moves that have been taught by a qualified instructor. If you're interested in learning a specific skill or new move, please reach out to your instructor. They can guide you on progressions or add the skill to regular classes, or you can book a private lesson. We kindly ask that you refrain from attempting new moves you've seen on Instagram or social media without proper instruction.
Instructor Supervision: An instructor is present in the studio to supervise for safety, but they are not there to teach new skills or provide instruction on unfamiliar moves during open practice. Instructors may offer corrections or tips at their discretion. They also reserve the right to ask students to stop practicing any moves that are deemed unsafe or that pose a significant safety risk if the instructor feels you are not ready to attempt them safely.
Spotting and Safety Precautions: You may ask instructors to spot you when working on or reviewing moves previously learned in class. Instructors have the authority to ask students not to attempt moves if they believe you are unable to perform them safely.
No Peer Teaching: Please do not teach other students new moves. While it’s fine to share experiences if you're working on similar skills or at the same skill level, do not teach additional skills in practice sessions unless they have been taught by a qualified instructor.
